Released by Sony on March 17, the trailer climbed its way to score approximately 1.1 billion views, to date. According to data from WaveMetrix, this comes after the film shattered the record for the biggest 24-hour trailer debut.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ beats ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ trailer record
As per reports, the film broke the record, previously held by the ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ trailer, which scored an estimated 475 million views. However, ‘Brand New Day’ comfortably surpassed this mark in half a day, and amassed a total of 718.6 million views by the end of Day 1.

It also beat the previous record held by ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer, which garnered 365 million views in 24 hours, following its Super Bowl debut. Spidey was able to cross this milestone within just eight hours of release online. This follows the success of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which also held the record for one of the most-watched trailers of all time. It held the record with 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours. The film went on to gross around USD 1.9 billion worldwide, landing it a spot among the highest-grossing Hollywood films of all time.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, sees Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker. The film that also features a star-studded cast including Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo, is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 31.
