What started as a peaceful day out turned into something way more intense, and honestly, pretty funny in hindsight.It all came out when Vedder dropped by ‘The Howard Stern Show’ on March 3, 2026. He told Howard about this visit to Springsteen’s place with his wife, Jill, and Springsteen’s wife, Patti Scialfa. The plan was simple: everyone would go for a relaxing horseback ride. Vedder, though, isn’t a fan of horses. He straight-up admits they freak him out, but he still wanted to play it cool, especially with Springsteen leading the way.“I’m terrified of horses, and that ride with Bruce did not help anything at all,” Vedder confessed. “I was trying to act not terrified. I was like, ‘I got this…’ You know, don’t let the shark know you’re scared.”Springsteen did his best to help, laying out the basics. But it didn’t matter. Vedder’s horse suddenly bolted off the trail and headed straight into the woods. The guy’s just hanging on for dear life. “I don’t know what is happening, and I’m just trying to surf.
