Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical launch this December 18, but according to the latest buzz, the film’s global advance bookings are expected to open this Friday, August 14, nearly four months before the film’s release.According to reports circulating online, tickets are expected to go on sale globally at 9 am PT on August 14, covering standard and premium formats. The reported launch will exclude IMAX screenings, as the format is expected to be reserved for ‘Dune: Part Three’, which will arrive in theatres on the same day. As per reports, the film has secured a three-week IMAX window, barring films like ‘Doomsday’ from releasing in the same format.

‘Doomsday’ already seeing strong advance bookings

The global ticket launch comes after Marvel opened limited ticket sales, exclusively at Infinity Vision-certified theatres in the US. The tickets went on sale through Fandango on July 20 and reportedly sold out almost immediately. “Doomsday arrives December 18th. Experience Avengers: Doomsday on bigger, brighter, & more immersive screens. Tickets are now on sale exclusively for Infinity Vision certified theatres,” read the post.The limited release generated an impressive USD 16.5 million in advance ticket sales on its first day, according to the figures provided. The film reportedly crossed USD 10 million in pre-sales within its first 12 hours. With no IMAX screens for three weeks, ‘Doomsday’ will rely on other premium formats for its initial ticket sales.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer 2 to arrive this weekend?

The reported August 14 ticket launch could also coincide with additional promotional material for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. A new trailer, poster or character-related material could potentially accompany the worldwide booking announcement, although Marvel has not officially confirmed such plans.The timing is also notable as it opens around D23 event.

A massive Marvel crossover

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be one of the MCU’s biggest crossover events yet, bringing together characters from different universes and timelines, together. They will feature a starry lineup incluidng Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston and Robert Downey Jr.The cast also includes Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth and Wesley Holloway. The Fantastic Four: First Steps cast of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn, will also be part of the crossover.Adding another major layer to the film are returning X-Men stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden, alongside Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

Russo Brothers return

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 18, 2026. The brothers are also directing ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, which is expected to continue the multiversal storyline.
