Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Brad Pitt and his family, and his children dropping his last name as well, the actor has been wanting to reconnect. According to recent reports, the ‘F1’ actor has been looking to reconcile with all of his children and is not willing to back away.

Brad Pitt is looking forward to reconciling with his children

After his divorce from Angelina Jolie, their children have mainly stayed with their mother. The family has also been estranged for quite some time now; however, Pitt is not letting any of this affect his ongoing efforts. According to RadarOnline reports, the actor is making every possible effort to connect with his son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, and his daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt.A statement from the report read, “One thing about Brad that’s stayed constant is that he knows how lucky he’s been, decade after decade. Even on a bad day, it’s still a lot of fun being Brad Pitt. Besides that, he has patience, resilience, and persistence, and he’s not despairing about the situation with his kids.” The outlet further reported that the ‘Ocean’s 11’ star is holding onto hope and fully believes that he will soon be back in his children’s lives.They added, “He helped raise them and develop them into the people that they are today. Nobody can take that away from Brad—no matter what’s going on with his legal fight with Angelina. ” Both Zahara and Maddox had recently filed legal petitions, wishing to drop their father’s surname from their official name.

The outlet further shared how Pitt believes things will get better and how he is still holding on to hope. “Brad’s really changed on his sobriety journey over the last several years. He’ll always pick up the phone if his kids need something from him, and he’s not going to change that policy anytime soon,” they added.Over the years, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been continuously involved in legal battles. From 2014 to 2016 the duo were married, after which they officially filed for divorce. While they were legally announced to be single in 2019, their divorce settlement continued until December 30, 2024, when both reached an official agreement over a settlement.

Pitt had been sober for the past seven years; however, during one of his latest interviews with Esquire, the actor revealed that he has started drinking again. The actor shared that he consciously decided to drink again after so long. While he has not gotten back to his image as an avid drinker, Pitt is opting to drink only a few glasses of wine. He added, “No, I got—I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon. In a more restrained manner. I got overconfident a couple of times and went, “Yep, nope, not good for me.” Not in big quantities.” For the past couple of years, the actor has been quite open about his sobriety. While talking to The New York Times in 2019, he revealed that his journey to staying away from drinks is a tough one, adding at the time that Alcoholics Anonymous has been of great help for him and his family.
