Brad Pitt seeks court order over Angelina Jolie's movie contracts; claims actress failed to show income between 2017 and 2021

The court battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is back in the news, this time, over alleged ‘undisclosed income’.Brad, in his latest move, has reportedly asked a court to compel his ex-wife, Jolie, to disclose details of her film contracts and earnings, claiming she has refused to provide financial records that are allegedly ‘relevant’ to their ongoing dispute over the sale of her stake of their jointly-owned French vineyard, Château Miraval.

Brad Pitt seeks Agelina Jolie’s financial records

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Pitt alleges that Jolie has failed to produce documents related to her income between 2017 and 2021, despite initially agreeing to do so. Angelina, however, reportedly denied that Brad has a right to see the information.

Angelina Jolie SOLD Chateau Miraval for ‘financial independence’

As per the report, Jolie starred in several high-profile projects, including ‘Marvel Studios’ Eternals’, and ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’, among others. With this demand, Pitt’s team is allegedly seeking records of Jolie’s upfront acting fees, brand endorsement deals, and any profit participation statements from her film projects, as she “determined that she needed to sell Chateau Miraval to achieve financial independence.“Angelina, on the other hand, claimed she never said she was experiencing financial distress, but rather she wanted independence from Brad. Her lawyer added, “The issue is not whether Jolie needed the money – the issue is that she was trying to untangle her life and her finances from her controlling and abusive ex-husband. That distinction makes all the difference.”Angelina said Brad’s entire basis for asking for the information is a “made-up theory that.”

Brad Pitt asks court to intervene

As per TMZ, Pitt is now asking the court to intervene and order the production of the documents. The filing alleges that while Jolie initially agreed to the request, she later declined to hand them over.

Angelina Jolie claims Brad Pitt is ‘not entitled’ to financial information

Jolie, however, has opposed the request, arguing that Pitt is not entitled to the additional financial information he is seeking. In recent court filings, she maintained that Pitt had already received extensive access to her financial records during their divorce proceedings, which concluded in 2024.While admitting that she did agree to provide certain financial records, she contends that Pitt’s latest request exceeded the scope of what he is legally entitled to obtain. The latest filing is part of Pitt and Jolie’s ongoing lawsuit, which began in 2021 sale of her interest in Nouvel, which owns a stake in the former couple’s French winery, Château Miraval.
