Inside Kapil Sharma’s Dubai cafe: Rs 800 Pani Puri, Rs 500 chai and pretty-in-pink interior

Comedian Kapil Sharma launched his first Kap’s Cafe in Canada in July last year, and the brand has since crossed into the Middle East. Its Dubai outlet opened in Al Kifaf on December 31, 2025. Fellow comedian Bharti Singh recently stopped by the new location, which is styled in soft pink and white with refined gold touches.

Prices that turn heads at Kap’s Cafe

Kap’s Cafe serves a wide spread of food and drink, from beverages and designer cakes to Indian and international fare. It’s the pricing that grabs attention, though: a cup of masala chai goes for more than Rs 500, and a plate of desi pani puri is Rs 800. Penne pasta tops the menu at Rs 1,604, while the most affordable item, an espresso, still costs Rs 490.

Comfort food with premium tags at Kapil Sharma’s cafe

The menu at Kap’s Cafe blends Indian dishes with global favourites, yet even everyday comfort food carries a premium price. A dosa is priced at Rs 775, and both the Bombay sandwich and avocado toast cost Rs 1,034. Sev puri comes in at Rs 905, while French toast is Rs 1,300.

Desi favourites get a luxe spin at Kap’s Cafe

Diners can also order Mexican bowls, butter chicken and pancakes. An aloo paratha is listed at Rs 700, and dal makhani at Rs 1,035. Two items that particularly catch the eye are masala chai at Rs 550 and pani puri at Rs 800, both giving well-loved Indian staples a premium price.

Kapil Sharma’s cafe gets a Parisian patisserie look

The cafe takes its design cues from a Parisian patisserie, combining pastel-pink interiors with ivory touches, white marble and gold accents. This carefully matched colour scheme lends the space a plush, photo-ready charm.

Shooting incidents at Kapil Sharma’s Canada cafe

Last year, Kap’s Cafe also drew attention for a string of shootings at its Canadian outlet. The café was reportedly fired upon soon after it opened, and was hit again in August. In October, a drive-by shooting reportedly broke the glass front of the premises. A few reports tied the attacks to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, but these claims were never independently confirmed. Nobody was hurt in any of the incidents.

Kapil Sharma reacts to the attacks

Speaking about the attacks in November, during promotions for his film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’, Kapil appeared unshaken by the setbacks. He told the media, “After every firing incident, we got a bigger opening at the cafe. So it is all ok if God is with me.”
