‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, continued its epic theatrical run in India on Monday, with the superhero film crossing the Rs 560 crore gross mark despite recording a sharp decline in collections in its third week.On Day 19, the film collected an estimated Rs 2 crore net across 3,334 shows, according to early estimates on sacnilk. The Monday collection represents a drop of approximately 77.1% from Sunday’s estimated Rs 8.75 crore net. With Monday’s earnings, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has added approximately Rs 25.65 crore net and Rs 30.74 crore gross during its third week so far.The film’s overall India net collection has now reached an estimated Rs 469.05 crore, while its total India gross stands at approximately Rs 560.82 crore.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ matches ‘Batwara 1947’ collections on Monday

Despite being in its third week, Spider-Man: Brand New Day managed to match the Monday collection of Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Batwara 1947’, which is in its opening week. The film also earned an estimated Rs 2 crore net on its first Monday, although the film had double the number of shows reported to be around 6,771 shows.The historical drama has collected approximately Rs 28.50 crore net and Rs 33.95 crore gross in India so far.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ third-week hold remains strong

After a blockbuster first two weeks, earning an estimated Rs 334.75 crore in week 1 and Rs 108.65 in week 2, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ entered its third week facing competition from new Hindi releases, including Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Awarapan 2’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Batwara 1947’.‘Spider-Man’ had a subdued third Friday with Rs 3.90 crore net before rebounding over the weekend, collecting an estimated Rs 10.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.50 crore on Sunday. Its third weekend total stood at approximately Rs 23.65 crore net.With its India gross now above Rs 560 crore, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will continue its mark to the Rs 600 crore club, and likely set a new lifetime box office record for a Hollywood release in India.
