US stocks ended higher on Thursday, with the S&P 500 gaining 1.1%, the Dow rising 1.2% and the Nasdaq climbing 1.4%. Microsoft, Meta and Apple advanced, while Nvidia gained 1.8% after announcing a $13 billion deal to acquire AI platform Hugging Face.
