Tata Motors appears to be preparing an update for the Tigor compact sedan, shortly after launching the updated Tiago. The refreshed Tigor is expected to follow the styling direction introduced on the recently updated Tiago hatchback and could arrive in the coming months.

New Tata Tigor: What to expect

The patent images reveal a redesigned front end with a slimmer fascia and sleeker LED headlamps. Tata has also reworked the front bumper, which now integrates a revised grille and redesigned fog lamp housings. New alloy wheel designs are visible as well. You can also expect a redesigned rear bumper, updated LED tail-lamp elements and a revised colour palette.Inside, the Tigor is expected to receive a cabin similar to the new Tiago, featuring a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a freestanding digital instrument cluster and Tata’s latest two-spoke steering wheel design.Expected additions include a 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, Type-C charging ports, auto-folding ORVMs and rear AC vents. AMT-equipped variants may receive a redesigned gear selector.Under the hood, the Tigor facelift is expected to retain its existing powertrain options. The sedan will likely continue with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. Tata is also expected to continue offering a factory-fitted CNG version. With the Tiago facelift already on sale, the updated Tigor is expected to be the next model in Tata’s compact car lineup to receive a comprehensive refresh. Once launched, it will continue to compete with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Aura in the sub-four-metre sedan segment.
