Taylor Swift’s mantra to deal with hard situations
The singer was recently invited to talk on ‘The Icon Sessions,’ where she opened up about how she deals with a lot of criticism and judgment in life; however, she chooses to never let other people’s comments hinder her creative process.Swift revealed, “I go through several processes and coping mechanisms that I’ve gone through over the years. And one of them is saying, ‘You chose this. You chose this every day. You could have opted out of this any day before it got unmanageably big.’ And I decided not to because I love it that much.”She added, “Everything that comes with this ultimately is worth it as long as I get to still make music.” The singer also shared that after some time she had to make herself understand that the reason behind her music comes from the people, the fans that she makes it for. She added during the interview, “I realised that I’m making music because I’m playing for the fans. I’m putting this out for people who care about it and who look to music as a way to cope with their life in the way that I did.”She concluded by saying that creating and putting out music is not a guarantee for “universal validation”; however, if you continue to put out music no matter what, then you “love it for the right reasons.”
