NAME CMP (Rs) TP (Rs) Upside (%)
Emcure 1975 2300 16%
Cholamandalam Investment 1843 2160 17%

Emcure PharmaceuticalsEmcure Pharmaceuticals continues to strengthen its domestic and international pharmaceutical franchise through broad-based growth across Europe, Canada and ROW markets, supported by improved execution, niche products and a strong commercial network. In Q1FY27, revenue grew 22.8% YoY to INR25.8bn, EBITDA increased 25.8% YoY to INR5.1bn and adjusted PAT rose 34% YoY to INR2.9bn.However, gross margin contracted 340bp YoY to 58.4%, while India business grew a relatively modest 10% YoY. Management expects low-to-mid teen revenue growth with 70-100bp EBITDA margin expansion in FY27, supported by continued international growth, new product launches and stronger domestic execution. We estimate 15%/21%/25% revenue/EBITDA/PAT CAGR over FY26-28.Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company LtdCholamandalam Investment (CIFC) is shifting from a vehicle-finance specialist to a diversified lending platform, and this broadening mix is what underpins the next phase of compounding. Mortgage is becoming the key growth engine alongside the core vehicle-finance franchise, while gold loans, consumer finance and MSME add higher-yielding, more diversified earnings streams.Margins stay resilient even as funding costs tick up. NIM is expected at 7.3%/7.1% in FY27E/FY28E despite a likely 10-20bp rise in funding costs in 2HFY27, cushioned by a favorable funding mix and rising contribution from higher-yielding businesses. With credit costs normalizing and operating leverage improving, RoA should climb from 2.3% (FY26) to 2.7% (FY27E/FY28E), with RoE holding around 20%. We forecast ~21%/~27% AUM/PAT CAGR over FY26-28E. At ~4.1x FY27E P/BV, CIFC trades above vehicle-financing peers, but we see this as justified by superior growth, improving returns and broader diversification.
