In this article, let’s compare the new Citroen eC3X with the Tata Tiago EV. 2026 Citroen eC3X vs Tata Tiago EV: Price, variants The 2026 Citroen eC3X is offered in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine priced from Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1.74 lakh lower than its predecessor. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan that lowers the vehicle’s purchase price to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs 2.26 per km. The 2026 Tata Tiago EV is offered in three variants – Smart, Pure plus and Creative plus with prices ranging from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors is also offering the Tiago EV under its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, reducing the vehicle’s entry price to Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Drive is sent to the front wheels through an electric motor rated at 57hp and 143Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-60kph in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107kph. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 per cent to 100 per cent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes using an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can raise the battery level from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 57 minutes.The 2026 Tiago EV gets two battery pack options – 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The 24kWh battery variant delivers 75hp and 114Nm, while the 19.2kWh version produces 61hp and 110Nm. The claimed MIDC range for the larger battery has increased to 285km from 293km, whereas the smaller battery variant now offers 226km, up from 223km. As per Tata Motors, the real-world C75 range is estimated at 205-215km for the 24kWh version and 160-170km for the 19.2kWh model.Tata claims the updated Tiago EV offers charging speeds that are 40 percent quicker than before, enabling up to 100km of range to be added in 18 minutes. The hatchback also supports 30kW DC fast charging, allowing both battery pack options to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes.
