In Stephen Miller’s 2007 book, ‘Smart Blonde: Dolly Parton,’ the singer revealed that he popped the question with, “You’re gonna have to move closer into town, or we’re gonna have to get married.”The pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Ringgold in 1966. In the pictures shared by the singer on their 50th anniversary, Parton wore a gorgeous white frock and a veil, while he donned a black suit for the wedding day. While the couple did not have any children, they had an adorable dog named Popeye.
