Ananya Raj, the actress best known for her work in ‘7 Hours To Go’ and ‘Ghost,’ passed away on July 15, 2026. Her family recently took to her social media handle to share the tragic news of her demise. In addition to Bollywood, she was appreciated for work in regional cinema. A couple of years back, she made her Tollywood debut with ‘Thaggede Le.’ The language was new to her; there was a cultural difference as well, but the actress was utterly excited about the movie and was looking forward to the audience catching the film on the big screenI’m thrilled to be making my debut in Telugu cinema with an intense thriller: Ananya RajWhen ‘Thaggede Le’ star Ananya Raj expressed her excitement for her Tollywood debutWhile speaking to Hyderabad Times ahead of her Telugu debut, Ananya Raj shared, “It’s a proud moment for me to be making my Tollywood debut at a time when the whole of Mumbai is talking about this industry. It’s exciting to work in the south.”Further, highlighting her challenges, she added, “However, I must admit that the experience on the sets in Hyderabad is extremely different compared to the culture in Mumbai. It doesn’t work here if you speak your mind. I had to learn to be sweet to everyone on the sets.”She continued, “Unlike in Mumbai, the people here expect you to be talkative. It took me a while to get used to that, and I had to learn to pretend a bit. Having said that, I’m going to cherish working with the talented filmmakers and technicians in Telugu cinema.”Ananya Raj also spoke about her role and the movie’s genre. “The film is a suspense thriller so it’s going to be an intense role. My role isn’t just about adding a glamour element; it has a bigger part in the story,” she said.She dubbed for herself, and it wasn’t an easy task. “It took a lot of hard work since it’s a new language to me, but I pulled it off. I can’t wait for the audience to watch me on the big screen,” she mentioned.More about Ananya RajBorn in 1991, Ananya Raj was battling both physical and mental discomfort, her family confirmed. Yet, she tried her best to live her life like a true queen. She passed away in her sleep peacefully in July. When her family shared the news of her demise, they requested privacy as well.
