From ‘Battle of Galwan’ to ‘Maatrubhumi’
The film, titled Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, was previously known as Battle of Galwan. Reports suggest the project has been delayed due to additional post-production work and patch shoots. The film was initially expected to release on April 17, 2026.Director Apoorva Lakhia reportedly revealed that both titles had been registered from the beginning, but the makers eventually felt Maatrubhumi captured the emotional core of the story more effectively than a title focused purely on the war backdrop.
