The upcoming film is announced to hit the big screens worldwide on January 8, 2027.

In the recently released glimpse, ‘Mahakali’ appears to explore the story from the side of the Asuras. Akshaye Khanna’s Shukracharya seems to be at the centre of this conflict. The team filmed a long schedule between February and April this year. The final schedule took place in Kolkata in May and they reportedly also shot scenes near the Dakshineswar Temple.For the unversed, in Hindu mythology, Shukracharya is known as the respected teacher of the Asuras and guides them during battles against the gods. One of his biggest powers is bringing dead demons back to life.
