A few days ago, reports revealed that the couple had arrived in Birmingham, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. New reports have revealed that one of the prince’s old friends, a billionaire, greatly helped with their major shift. Here’s what we know so far.
A close friend of Prince Harry helped him and Meghan Markle move back to the UK
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially shifted to the UK; however, their return after six years was made possible by a close friend. Page Six recently reported that one of the prince’s old friends, billionaire Ian Wace, funded the royal couple’s return. Wace works as a founding partner, chief executive officer, and chief risk officer for one of the world’s biggest hedge funds.Wace and the prince have been close friends for some time. According to another report shared by The Daily Mail, the couple took their children to a private Scottish island, called Tanera Mòr, earlier this year in July. The island is owned by Wace. Markle also posted photos from the outing on her Instagram account. Prince Harry also visited the property in 2017, when the billionaire initially purchased it. In 2019, the outlet reported that the couple had also been on an outing with Wace and his then-wife, Saffron Aldridge, and attended the 2019 Cirque du Soleil performance at the Royal Albert Hall together.Over the years, Wace and Aldridge have been spotted accompanying members of the royal family on multiple occasions.

Their children will also attend a school in the area, for which they have already enrolled and will start classes next month.
