Channeling her inner ‘Mean Girl’ from her early days, the actress opted to go all pink at this year’s Met Gala event to embody the ‘Costume Art’ theme. At the event, she also spoke about how she prepped for the night, citing that her life on the farm creates the perfect balance between the extravagant night and a much-needed breather.

The star owns a farm in Catskill, where she cares for all kinds of animals, including her personal favourite, her donkey, Gus. While talking to Vogue during the event, the star opened up about how she and her donkey spent time together before the event, and how it was one of the best things that she could do to prepare for the night in advance.Talking about Gus, she shared that “It’s great. It’s the best thing. I was rubbing his ears this morning to get ready.” Further addressing the balance between her farm life and the Met Gala, the actress added, “It’s nice to come to the giant Met Ball … having had just been walking to the clovers and petting the goats and horses. But I did start out my day there. It’s so balanced.”
