‘The Paradise’: Nani and Srikanth Odela’s upcoming action thriller gets an ‘A’ certificate ahead of its September 24 release |
Nani and director Srikanth Odela, who last teamed up for ‘Dasara’, are set to reunite with the action thriller ‘The Paradise’, releasing on September 24. Reports now suggest the film has cleared censorship with an ‘A’ certificate and a runtime of nearly three hours, adding fresh momentum to the buildup around one of the year’s most anticipated multilingual releases.
‘The Paradise ‘ clears CBFC with an ‘A’ certificate
As per a report by IANS, ‘The Paradise’ has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an ‘A’ certificate. Industry sources cited in the report also indicate that the film’s final runtime stands at 2 hours and 49 minutes. Director Srikanth Odela himself had earlier confirmed this runtime at a media interaction, telling reporters the film would run 169 minutes. The makers, however, are yet to make an official announcement regarding the censor certification.
Nani calls it the toughest film of his career
Ahead of the film’s release, Nani spoke candidly about the demands the project placed on him, both physically and mentally. At a press meet, the actor said, “‘The Paradise’ is the most tiring film of my career, both physically and mentally. If there has been a film for which I have worked very hard in these 18 years of my film career, it is ‘The Paradise’.” At the same event, Nani also revealed that the makers have chosen not to release a conventional trailer for the film, a departure from standard promotional strategy for a film of this scale.
About ‘The Paradise’
‘The Paradise’ centres on a tribal community that has long been denied basic rights, tracing their struggle for justice as a new leader emerges to challenge the system that has oppressed them for generations. The premise positions the film as a socially rooted action drama rather than a conventional commercial actioner, with the narrative built around themes of resistance and systemic injustice.
