After a spectacular opening of Rs. 101.10 crore on Day 1, the Geetu Mohandas directorial has continued to add substantial numbers and gross over Rs 300 crore globally despite mixed reviews, strong criticism and expected weekday slowdown on its first Monday.With its opening day collection, ‘Toxic’ breached the reported opening-day benchmark of ‘Dhurandhar Part 1’, giving Yash another significant box-office record to its name. ‘Toxic’ Day 1 to Day 6 earnings
‘Toxic’ opened with Rs. 101.10 crore net on Day 1, setting the tone for its theatrical run. The film collected Rs. 37.65 crore on Day 2, followed by Rs. 27.20 crore on Day 3. It then added Rs. 25.15 crore on Day 4 and Rs. 23 crore on Day 5. The first five days took its India net collection to Rs. 214.10 crore. On Day 6, ‘Toxic’ collected Rs 7.45 crore net in India, a 67.6% decline from its Day 5 collection.The film’s international performance also contributed significantly to its early worldwide total. It opened with Rs. 20 crore overseas on Day 1, followed by Rs. 8 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 3.50 crore on Day 3. By the end of Day 5, the overseas gross had reached Rs 29.25 crore. The film’s total India gross now stands at Rs. 272.80 crore, while its domestic net collection has reached Rs. 229.95 crore.The Yash-starrer earned another Rs. 1.50 crore overseas on Day 7, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs. 40.75 crore.
