Several names have been discussed at different stages, and Tara’s name has certainly come up. But nothing has been locked at this point. The makers want to rope in an actor who can hold her own within the larger-than-life world of the film.”

Tara made her acting debut with ‘Student of the Year 2’ in 2019. She was recently seen in Yash‘s action film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. She played the role of Rebecca in the movie. Though it was a highly anticipated film, it failed to make wonders at the box office. It was released in theatres on August 26, 2026.

‘Mahavatar’ is Vicky Kaushal’s second film with producer Dinesh Vijan after ‘Chhaava’. The film was released in 2025. It was based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
